So Assadist tool Ben Norton supports the seizure of the journalist Roman
Protasevich by Lukashenko because he was part of the neo-Nazi Azov
battalion fighting against the Donetsk separatists in Ukraine.
To my knowledge, the only legitimate source for this is in today's
London Times:
In 2014 Protasevich is reported to have travelled to eastern
Ukraine, where he joined the Azov Battalion, a far-right group that
fought Russian-backed separatists.
"He did not participate in hostilities but he was with the battalion
in the Donbas. He was a photographer and, as I understand it, a
volunteer," a Belarusian journalist said.
And even if was a combatant, how does this justify using lies to force a
civilian airliner to land in Belarus? It certainly doesn't. What you are
getting with this Grayzone traveling propaganda machine is pure and
simple alignment with ruthless dictatorships. If the NY Times is for the
revolt against the Myanmar coup, they are for it. Now, we are at the
point where if you can become an unwilling victim of what amounts to a
hijacking, you have to reckon with scumbags like Ben Norton telling the
world that your rights as an American meaning nothing to him because of
his geopolitical psychosis.
