John, Didn't you cast a ballot that was indistinguishable from those cast by the DSA leaders?
But I do get your point here. Over the course of the last half century and change, I think we've seen some choice opportunities slip right through our fingers. How you can have an issue like BLM that should be able to mobilize tens of thousands on a regular basis and not generally get more than fractions is just the most recent indication. If you can't keep women in the streets protesting Trump, what does that mean? Yes, the Democrats took charge of that, but they didn't really have any opposition in demobilizing people. Ditto with Occupy. And if you can't get people not to vote for a "new" Democrat like Biden, what can we manage? Not even weekly forums or even monthly. How did the Left become "pathetic"? One self-preoccupied step at a time. So, yes, here we are with 73% of the Republicans blaming the January 6 assault on the Capitol on the Left. That's Reichstag fire territory. Not saying that conditions are pushing the country to fascism, but the ideological foundations of it are there. And what are we in a position to do? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
