I understand the electoral dilemma facing US Marxists, evident on this list,
about whether to support a party which represents the domestic constituencies
they need to attract but which acts as an agent of US imperialism to oppress
the same constituencies which they support abroad. To a lesser degree, that’s
been an ongoing dilemma for Marxists in all the advanced capitalist countries
since the disappearance of the mass socialist parties in our lifetime.

In other words:

Is the only relevant consideration for Marxist activists in this historical
moment whether support for the Greens and opposition to the Democrats
strengthens or weakens their  attachment to the fellow activists they wish to
attract in the unions and allied mass movements?

Or is running against an imperialist party on an anti-imperialist platform
always and everywhere a principled question?
