without wanting to get into the issues involved, the real challenge is if we changed Trotsky's assertion to one comparing a slave-owner and a slave who kills the slave-owner --- (totally justified even for someone like me who opposes capital punishment) -- but what about the slave who kills a slaveowner's child?
