Much as the Democrats did what they could do to assist (behind the scenes) the presidential campaign of Perot in 1992 which helped Clinton defeat Bush, the Repugs are returning the favor. As long as Cornel West maintains political independence and a consistent opposition to what both corporate parties stand for, I see it as a correct tactical approach. Lenin accepted German support for his traveling back to Russia through territory they controlled in early 1917, The Germans hoped that he could strengthen the Russian peoples' hatred and opposition to WW1, leading to a Russian withdrawal from the fighting and a much needed relief from Germany fighting a two-front war.
