Last week, we analyzed <https://oaklandsocialist.com/2024/12/22/can-trump-institute-fascism/> the rising conflicts within the Trump coalition centered around the budget crisis. Now, it's breaking out around the issue of immigration. This article explores that conflict as well as other coming ones and discusses the source of the conflict as well as what it means for how Trump is likely to be able and unable to rule.
Of course, I expect the sectarians on this list to raise, once again, the issue of having called for a vote against Trump, which could only mean a vote for Harris. And, of course, they will once again ignore the fact that some of those who opposed such a call ignore it when the big names defend it. That's par for the course. Nothing that has happened makes me think it was wrong to try to keep Trump out of office, but please, can we also move on? Is not what is happening *now* also important? see: Rising conflicts within Trump coalition: Preview of what's to come <https://oaklandsocialist.com/2024/12/30/rising-conflicts-within-trump-coalition-preview-of-whats-to-come/> -- *“Science and socialism go hand-in-hand.” *Felicity Dowling Check out:https:http://oaklandsocialist.com also on Facebook -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
