Yes, "lebensraum" - ahem, German for "Manifest Destiny ", was about uniting Europe, including the Soviet territory under German rule so as to have the resources necessary to confront the continent scale US economy on a global level. In my view the Nazi system absolutely required lebensraum, because I see Hitler's project as a response to the US likelihood of hegemony, and the existence of the Soviet Union. Both problems required German expansion to deal with. Is this what Trump’s expansionism is about - dealing with theories of China?
