Why do I take issue with this? It is because I believe that indeed there is a re-shuffling of the powers that be. But such dramatic changes, may take time. How long? How long is a length of string? Indeed there may - there will - be 'short term' waltzes and reconfigured goals. As you know, these things have long fuses, although the rates of the burning fuse may suddenly surge upwards. The Berlin Conference of 1884, parcelled out lands and trades in Africa. Yet it was only a prelude. Engels was on record predicting the world war in 1888 (at least I think - could be there is an earlier spoor) : "London, January 7, 1888 - To Sorge A war, on the other hand, would throw us back for years. Chauvinism would swamp everything, for it would be a fight for existence.
