Don't forget DONALD HARRIS --- he was a young Professor at Wisconsin when I was finishing up graduate work and his work was VERY MARXIST and yet he used a lot of math to make his points. Years later when I was visiting Cambridge University, I attended a meeting of the editorial board of the Cambridge Journal of Economics --- and the word was that "Don Harris" was the one to check the math of articles that were being submitted!
