It is interesting to see Mark Baugher denounce "practically all the union leadership" for supporting the Democratic Party. But when he and the other administrators of this group organized a forum on the unions, they made sure not to have any panelist who opposed the union leadership's links to the Democrats. In fact, neither he nor Anthony Boynton - who also spoke from the "audience" - didn't say a word about this key issue. I did, but they didn't. I don't mean to pick on these two individuals; it's that they are absolutely typical of the "revolutionary left", including those on this list, since I've pointed this out numerous times and nobody has commented. That's because they know that if they were in the same position they'd do the same thing, as have almost all such "revolutionaries" in similar situations - fierce denunciation of the union leadership in the left echo chambers and silence when coming face to face with them and their supporters when it really counts.
As for the main issue: Mark Lause denounces the Democrats for still being the corporate party that they have always been. Sure, but that's not the point. The point is that the *Republicans* have changed! Even as recently as 10 years ago, did anybody think that their leader would try to overthrow an election by organizing an attempted insurrection, one in which numerous cops were beaten to an inch of their lives? Did anybody think they would see what we're seeing in Minneapolis right now? Did anybody think we'd see a president threaten to go to war with another NATO nation?
