That posting was sent to me by a long-time subscriber who did not want to be involved in the discussion. I should have trimmed their comment at the front because I don't expect they will respond or send me a response. Personally, I don't think MLK needs any apologies. It's no surprise that someone who chose to be a Baptist minister wouldn't be in agreement with Marx, Engels, Lenin or Trotsky, the Communist Manifesto or Das Kapital. And I would expect MLK to need to clarify his position on communism as he was pivoting to demand US withdrawal from Vietnam. In that speech, he clearly addressed his position on communism - in 1967, as he was demanding that the US end the war on Communist-led Vietnam.
