The US government decides which countries and which companies are allowed to receive Venezuelan oil, and which ones are not. If Venezuela tries to send oil to a non-approved country, the US navy intervenes. It is essential for socialists in the US to campaign against the blockade on Venezuela. This is important not only for Venezuela but also for Cuba, which used to get most of its oil from Venezuela.
