One last point: Epstein was not the only one doing what he did. There are many others who groom young women - girls in many cases - to supply sex for rich, usually white, men. That is one end of this business. Why should anybody think that this business would be confined to those who pander to the capitalist class, especially since the necessary capital investment is pretty low?
I also agree with John Edmundson that selling - in actuality, renting out - one's body is not "empowering". In many cases it involves human trafficking and in actuality forced labor under threat of violence. In other cases, it's a situation of economic coercion. I once talked with a young woman who was doing that. "Do you think I like doing this?" she said. "I hate it! I hate it - having to go to bed with some fat old guy.
