I think you meant to direct this to the thread I started on the NLR Sidecar article. My impression is that the Ukrainian masses would accept an end to the bloodshed and destruction of their economic infrastructure if the US and NATO gave the country firm security guarantees and a reconstruction fund is established even if the territorial issues, ie. the status of the Donbas and Crimea is left to unspecified further talks and a possible referendum. That's at least the framework that some have suggested for an armistice short of a peace agreement at any rate. Neither the Russian nor Ukraine/NATO camp seem ready to abandon their maximum war aims at this stage.
