Of course Deutscher was correct to name Non-Jewish Jews, except that the term 'Jew' is derogatory and was used by the Nazis on the yellow star to be worn under penalty of death. Trotsky also considered the Jewish People to be a Nation in his 1937 pamphlet. How can those who consider themselves Trotskyists not agree. As an original Bundist by way of my mother Cesia Goldseider-Friedman, it is obvious that we are Jewish. As for religious belief there is not much to say and if there were something to say it would not be kind to the 'Diety'.
