On 7 August, Türkiye, Saudi-Arabia and Pakistan signed the “Mecca Joint
Defence Agreement”, also called the Mecca Pact. It is a
political-military agreement between these three regional powers. Albeit
the full text of the agreement has not been published yet, it was
announced that the text says, among others, “/any armed attack against
any one of the three states shall be regarded as an attack against them
all./
