I just finished reading a book by Torkil Lauesen. Are you saying that this
pro-Palestinian activist never cared about Palestinians? I may not agree very
much with Torkil Lauesen, but I believe he has a lot more credibility than
someone who posts anonymously to a mailing list.
And what is this single, "global movement" that doesn't care about
Palestinians? The people who oppose Israeli settler colonialism and the
dispossession of Arab lands go back very far in the Marxist traditions and also
on this list; it is multi-generational. AFAICT, practically all people who have
posted to the marxmail list identify as "pro Palestine" or at least
"anti-Zionist." So, your sentence above is trolling the marxmail list. My
personal anti-Zionism and pro-Palestinian conviction goes back to Maxine
Rodinson, another movement activist who actually cared about Palestinians.
So that's two exceptions to your trope about the movement in support of a
people don't really care about the people. Your note insinuates an ulterior
motive to the "global movement" without bothering to reveal it or explain what
it really is. In an odd twist, this is a dog whistle that insinuates but never
proves anti-Jewish racism is the true motive.
Once again, you don't provide any real definition of what you're talking about:
What movement? Who? And what's documented in the real world? What does a fellow
at the Atlantic Council have to do with marxmail?
