It's a real shame, a disgrace to the name of socialism, that the largest socialist group that we've seen in decades is doing nothing. Not only them, but every major socialist or socialist-inclined journal (Jacobin, Counterpunch, Tempest) as well as independent socialist group (Left Voice, etc.) is ignoring this danger.
As I wrote, if there are major protests, the one who will benefit the most will be the Nazi-friendly voices like Tucker Carlson. And you want to know who will add their voices to his? the Palestine rights groups. Together they will both blame Israel. As for No Kings: I've been to just about every No Kings march here in Oakland. Some of them were huge. You want to know who wasn't there? The unions!Maybe they had a contingent of ten or so, but that was all. And what was the result of those marches? Zero. They didn't influence Trump at all. So, if you call yourself a socialist, please don't hide behind No Kings as if they will be our savior.
