Nope, Catalyst is NOT a templating engine! With Catalyst you are free to
chose which of the available popular templating engines you would like
to use (many are supported: http://search.cpan.org/search?query=Catalyst
%3A%3AView&mode=all). Catalyst mainly provides the GLUE between your
templating engine, your model and your business logic.

I suggest you step through the Catalyst tutorial
Catalyst::Manual::Tutorial::Intro to get a feeling for how things work
in the Catalyst world.
