I don't know about that.. Because I set the MTU to 1500 on BOTH the ppp0 interface and the ethernet card that the ADSL modem connects to and there was no change.. The other interesting thing is that I KNOW the MTU adjustments work because at 1400 any ping's of packet size 1400+ fail to move, but at the 1500 mark then only packets 1500+ are being lost, and unfortunately I can't set a MTU higher then 1500.. Large FTP downloads do work.. I mean 1meg -> 16 meg files do download correctly.
