Yup thats what most people have, and at least you have read the docs :)

I have an ipmasqing 3 machine cluster connected via 10baseT ether.

No they suggest that the eth0 on the box that is gatewaying is set to that
(I assume you mean 192.168.1.1 BTW) this is because is is a non internet
ip address o you are not using someone else's ip and so can't access that
machine. eg. I set my gateway to 195.67.49.54 (www.yahoo.co.uk) I then
can't use yahoo.

I would suggest an upgrade to 5.2 as you have a DSL line and crackers like
to get accounts on that type of machine and redaht 5.0 has a number of
holes (you could put a large bus thou :)

I would suggest that you get a second ether card for the router / firewall
and have one plugged into the DSL and one into the hub, set the interal
ether card to 192.168.1.1 and then appart from that you are right.

I have an 8 port 10baseT genius network hub that cost me ~45UKP, has never
let me down. The cheapest on pricewatch.com is $25 for a 5 port.
If I have missed out anything important let me know and when the 2nd box
turns up mail me if you have and problems.
