I am using the latest mrxvt under Cygwin and keep running into the following annoying issue: every now and then as I type, keyboard input becomes laggy and often a particular character would repeat (likkkkkke this) even though my typing is quite normal, at medium pace, and without any keys being held down for too long. It seems to be a particular problem when logged in to remote computers over a (possibly) slow-ish connection, but I'm also running into it just typing inside the local terminal. This problem is poorly reproducible, but happens often enough to be quite annoying. I'd appreciate any tips on how to start troubleshooting it...
