Dear ravikumar sir, the problem is not in grub.. instead it may be in the bios mode of laptop..
why cant you upgrade for ubuntu 16.04 which is latest LTS version of ubuntu.. i suggest you to go to bios settings and find out bios mode first... grub varies for each type of bios mode. kalpravriksha supports only specific type of bios.. actually there is no way to convert your present 14.04 to kalpravriksha directly.. you have to reinstall it.. hope it helps..
