I am doing research related to power security. I am simulating a contingency by
setting the branch status to 0. But I want to know the matpower can print out
all the branches that have cross the limit and the buses voltage which are
violated after running power flow

It has no effect whatsoever on the power flow results. It can simply be useful
for manipulating data or reporting data by region.
