Best regards, Ahmad Dear Ahmad: In MATPOWER, if the TAP column has a zero, then the ratio defaults to 1:1, in the sense that 1 pu at the "FROM" end produces 1 pu at the "TO" end of the ideal transformer in the generalized branch model.  Indeed, if you assign 1.0 to the TAP column you will get the same results.
