Hi Brian, I would need to check it, but if you run the 3rd party installation scripts, you will install ffmpeg by compiling its source code. ffmpeg has a quite complex pre-compilation configuration script, to enable/disable many different features. It seems that your version isn't compiled with the multi-thread support.
If you have installed it with the Matterhorn scripts, then I'd suggest that you file a bug so that the thread support is enabled. In the interim, however, I don't see why you shouldn't try and compile ffmpeg yourself. Matterhorn shouldn't have any problem with this, as long as the version matches with the expected.
