There is an option in config.properties that enables the creation of these
test series, as well as a set of test users and organizations. You can
disable that behaviour by setting that key to "false", but I'm afraid you're
going to delete those series manually.

Re. the capture agent, please check that the default core address (in
$FELIX/conf/services/org.opencastproject.capture.impl.ConfigurationManager.properties)
is set to the exact same value as the server.url key (in
$FELIX/conf/config.properties). The fact that not even the table appears, I
cannot think of a reason for that. Setting the logs to "ALL" or "DEBUG" and
search for some errors when you visit that page --or related-- may be
useful.
