Hmm...I've aleady tried power cycling the box. I'll give lowering the
encoding settings a try.

Hi all,
I just tried to upgrade the firmware on our Epiphan Capture Agent (ECA)
from 2.2.0rc1 to 2.2.0e and got the following error:
CRITICAL FAILURE. Please contact Epiphan Systems support before powering
down or rebooting Matterhorn. E1012137
The firmware appeared to upload successfully, but after a period of
waiting, I get the above
Before I email Epiphan, I just want to make sure there are no known
issues with upgrading from 2.2.0rc1 to 2.2.0e; also any other known
issues with upgrading firmware on the ECA in general.
This happens to me occasionally, and appears to be related to a low
memory condition in the box. Since this is not a Matterhorn issue feel
free to contact Epiphan support, but I suspect the solution will be
reboot the box (remove power, wait, give power) and try again. Lowering
the encoding settings can also free up memory internally.
For what it's worth, 2.2.0rc1 is quite old, and they've fixed lots of
the memory issues. I haven't seen that error in a long time :)
