the problem I described recently happened on a system which was updated from MH 1.3.0-rc2 to 1.3.1 using the update path as described by Greg Logan on http://opencast.jira.com/wiki/display/MHDOC/Upgrading+Matterhorn+v+1.3. Today, I installed MH 1.3.1 from scratch using the exactly same configuration and - drumroll! - ingesting now works again. I really don't know what caused the problem, therefore I'm unable to file a bug in Jira, but for your information, my problem is fixed now.
