Hi,

I have just set up a fresh installation of MH 1.3.1 in a distributed
environment (1 admin server, 1 engage server, 1 worker server, database on
external database server, storage directory on engage server mounted with nfs
on the other MH servers). There is a NCast PR-720 capture client connected to
the admin server. Although I have configured everything quite similar than our
1.3.0 test installation we used before, ingesting a recording fails.

After finishing a recording on the NCast client, the recording list on the
admin server web interface shows the recording with status "Initializing..."
and the opencast.log on the admin server gives me the following messages:

[root@admin-mh-test ~]# tail -f /opt/matterhorn/felix/logs/opencast.log
2012-07-16 15:20:29 WARN (IngestRestService:507) - workflowInstanceId '' is
not numeric
2012-07-16 15:20:33 INFO (IngestServiceImpl:256) - Ingesting zipped media
package to
/mnt/storage/admin-mh-test/ingest/3d1bca5e-9d9f-4c0a-b7ff-0babb4d277e1/351.zip

But after this, there are no more entries in opencast.log, the workflow isn't
continued, the /mnt/storage/admin-mh-test/ingest/ directory is empty and the
entry in the admin server web interface is "Initializing..." forever.

When I try to upload a recording on the admin server web interface, the result
is quite the same. The recording list on the admin server web interface shows
the recording with status "Initializing..." and the opencast.log on the admin
server gives me the following messages:

[root@admin-mh-test ~]# tail -f /opt/matterhorn/felix/logs/opencast.log
2012-07-17 08:53:12 INFO (IngestServiceImpl:829) - Adding element of type
Catalog to mediapackage 40c43355-ac1d-4a5f-b987-14c314d7090d
2012-07-17 08:53:36 INFO (IngestServiceImpl:829) - Adding element of type
Track to mediapackage 40c43355-ac1d-4a5f-b987-14c314d7090d

But after this, nothing continues.

I already tried to change the org.opencastproject.storage.dir option from a NFS
directory to a local directory, but this didn't help.

Does anyone have a idea what I am doing wrong? What does the
"workflowInstanceId '' is not numeric" warning mean in the opencast.log file?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards
