Hi,
I would very much like to see http://opencast.jira.com/browse/MH-7605
reopened in order to get the DVI2USB devices supported if it is just a
string operation that fails the clean support currently.
I don't have the rights in Jira to do so, so if you feel that my need
is justified, I'd like to ask one of you committers to reopen the
task (and maybe even include DVI2PCIe, if this is a similar thing).
Thanks, Andreas

hmm, what about the DVI2PCIe-devices; are they a better choice? Or are they
also only working as custom devices, as I would guess from what I hear from
RĂ¼diger.
Thanks for the quick info, Andreas

oh, thanks; forget my second mail on this subject then.

You can use them as custom devices, but they won't work the same way the
VGA2USB devices do. In a way I guess it would be a simple patch to support
them too, but currently somewhere in the code it is checked that the name
of the devices contains the substring VGA2USB as far as I know.

Hi,
we are considering to buy Epiphan DVI2USB devices [1] for our next
generation capture agents. Does MH support them right now, are they
subsummarized by VGA2USB?
[2] suggests that they are not supported
[3] makes me hope they well are supported
I'd love to have the confirmation that these devices work as expected
before we go out and buy them ;)
