I'm afraid, being a member of the Groups "users, confluence-community,
confluence-matterhorn" I have no edit rights as regards reopening
tickets or assigning someone to a ticket :(
I think that has something to do with me not (yet) being committer to
the project?
But - in the present case - it seems a lot like it is not a wish of
the community to prolong Epiphan VGA2USB/DVI2USB support, so -
nevermind.

You can use them as custom devices, but they won't work the same way the
VGA2USB devices do. In a way I guess it would be a simple patch to support them
too, but currently somewhere in the code it is checked that the name of the
devices contains the substring VGA2USB as far as I know.
