I had to install sun java manually
(http://strug.wordpress.com/2009/02/22/installing-java-7-snapshot-on-ubuntu/)
from the oracle but it appears that the plugins we needed from the multiverse
are now available in the regular packages (I just removed the
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse entry in install.sh). ffenc_mpeg2video:,
mpegtsmux, x264enc qtmux and mp4mux are all available (all of our standard
video encoders).
So either we need instructions on how to fix this or code to detect they are on
11.10.
