Thanks for the clarification about our IRC conversation. It is differently
important to fix the time sync issue as well, but it is certainly not as bad as
having files that are of different lengths.
A (very tangent) note:
I just did a capture with the Epiphan settings of:
#capture.device.Epiphan_VGA2USB.framerate=10
capture.device.Epiphan_VGA2USB.codec.bitrate=3000000
and the captured file came out with a 2361 Kbps with a framerate of 25. This
suggests that somehow setting a framerate may conflict with the bitrate setting
(or setting a framerate of 10 causes the bitrate to be set to a lower number)?
Also, the above setting caused the CPUs to hit 80% and 60%, so it definitely
used up more CPU power to get to that higher bitrate.
In any case, that is a total tangent and I will file a ticket if you think this
is an issue that needs to be addressed.
