I thought DirectShow came with a screen capture device by default?
I have not found it yet, but I have not spend too much time on
researching this. But If you find out how to activate this, please drop
me a line.
People can choose their devices and output codecs?
Yes. for the devices. But they cannot configure them in our software
currently.
No for the codecs. We wanted a software as simple as possible as we
write it for people who don't know about codecs and their
configurations. And we use the codecs that come with Windows 7 to avoid
patent/copyright issues.
2. A remote inbox that can be installed under any OS. You can have
different directories on your machine for different series. The files
there will ingested to Matterhorn. This will have a Matterhorn 1.4+
dependency and needs Java 7. This will be ECL licensed
Is this going to be added to MH directly? My understanding is that we
only have a single inbox right now, are you just extending that so you
could have multiple inboxes? That would be a great feature.
The Remote Inbox software allows you define a directory on your machine
as a base directory. You can create sub-directories for series (where
you can put a series.xml dc-file). The recordings come to sub-dirs in
the series directory, and you can place an optional episode.xml file in
these directories. Files can be send automatically or if you click on
the episode in the minimal UI that we provide. As I said we will provide
an official announcement for this in the next days. It will probably be
a contrib tool.
