I think we should be responsive to trying and fixing bugs with the
latest released version, and that includes bugs in install scripts.  So
we should try and fix bugs with 1.3.0 first and foremost.

My understanding from Matjaz is that the install scripts should be much
more reliable now with the use of mirrors starting in 1.3.1, is this
true?  I think it's important to have,
