Hello Karen I agree with Tobias that deeper integration with search and media packages are top of the list and your idea to attach files (think of a PDF to complement a bibliographic reference) has been around for some time (cf. http://opencast.jira.com/browse/MH-646), so I hope this resonates with others - you're welcome to join the meeting in December.
