hi my 2 cents: I run LinuxPPC 2000 on an old 7200, with 48 Mb of RAM and it runs fine. Sure more RAM would be good... Sure the GUI is a little slow, but as a learning tool, as an experimental workstation, it's perfect. A great use for an old Mac. I also have MacOS 9.1 on it. (9.1 runs fine on old macs, no problem. I also have it on a 5200). matx -- Mat X ************************************************** Webmaster, Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design ************************************************** [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] MaX-list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Star Trek Collection: Movies 1-7 on VideoCD, $38.88 from CoolVCD <http://lowendmac.com/ad/coolvcd.html> 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> - - - - - MaX-list info: <http://lowendmac.com/linux/max.shtml> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/max-list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
