Tim,
Flash the PRAM and insert a 9.1 boot CD. If you are able to boot into 
the Finder attempt to select the MacOSX volume in the Startup Disk 
Control Panel. If you get the same results, I would recommend 
reformatting the drive using Disk Utility on the Jag boot CD and 
setting the boot partition to be 7.5GB.
