Tim, Boot from the 9.2.x system install CD. Make sure the 40 gig is master. Format the disk something like this: partition 1 = 7.5 gig (this is the crucial one) Call it macosx or something partition 2 = 5 gig (or how big you want it) Call it macos9 or something partition 3 = the rest gig Call it storage or something
Install the 9 you have (on partition 2) and network update all the way to 9.2.2. Boot the Jaguar CD and install on partition 1. At the end it will reboot itself into MacOSX.
