are you intended to tell the customer to download it too, the customer can have no idea about the language you used and workable programming Interface and version for your software. the only safe way is to distribute the programming Interface with the software.
at MAXdb site have found nothing about developer license for distributing only the programming Interface.
I understand that for exemple: for the moment python and perl api distribution are from SAPDB and still LGPL, but in the future it would be MySQL and GPL.
Mysql team please help us in this discussion as I came from SAPDB and I can not understand this point.

So, I don't distribute MaxDB, but the customer of my software want's to use it, he don't have to pay for it (he make the download, not me, and I don't give any kind of CD rom with MaxDB to him). As I stated before, I'll make a great effort to my client to acquire support from MySQL (may be I'll buy support from MySQL, and sell support to my customer - so we have a chain where all have gain).
As I said before, I don't be afraid about paying for licenses. The only think I want is being capable to be completelly in extends of the law (or been legal).
