Hi,

for all of you who are interested in some bedtime lecture
on our beloved database:

1) the "Book SAP DB / MaxDB" from Stefan Wichmann
If you speak german, get it. This book is very helpfull.
It gets you started as a beginner and is also pretty good
as a reference manual. Thanks, Stefan.

2) my humble compilation "maxdb_installation_administration.sxw"
While no way as comprehensive as the Book from Stefan, the
little document gets you started on Windows and Linux.
The guys from SAP Labs reviewed it and made some annotations,
thanks a lot to Daniel and Marina.
You can download it as an OpenOffice Document from
   http://www.transporeon.org/download/sapdb/maxdb_installation_administration.sxw
and use it in any way you like.
If you do not want to install OpenOffice and need it as .doc
   or .pdf, please say so.

I currenly have a long list of information I compiled and want
   to add, for example
   - performance tuning for big installations on linux
   - migration vom access
   - migration vom sql server
   - Stored Procedures writing and debugging
but currently I am just too busy, so this will take some 4-6
   weeks.
Of course you are welcome to contribute ;)

kind regards,

Axel
