Hmmm, the biggest advantage of Stefan Wichmann's book is that it is available. Are there other books?
Personally, I do not like this book (yet). I bought it late last year. I find the structure unclear, chapters too long, convoluted sequence of items. What annoys me most is the large amount of references to older versions of SAP DB including Adabas. This book seem to have been in the making for quite some time, and this shows. Besides, some proof-reading would not have harmed. But then, maybe I haven't read the book enough times yet and again, there aren't that many books on SAP DB/MaxDB. YMMV. This is a personal opinion. I definitely recommend everyone to have a good look and decide for themselves.
