Hello Leo, As far as I know, there is no documentation about handling MaxDB backup errors. So please post your problems on this list.
"-126,Databackup missing (Backuphistory lost)" tries to tell you, that you have to do a complete data backup. A look into dbm.knl and dbm.prt could reveal the reason for this. "-71,connection broken server state 6" tries to tell, that the DBM-Server has lost his connection to the database kernel - usually because the database kernel crashed. Therefore it would be helpful, if you help us in investigating that problem. As a starter a look into knldiag and knldiag.err should bring up more information about the problem. The easiest way of finding the right log backup for recovery is using MaxDB's DBMGUI for the restore. August 2006 10:12 To: maxdb@lists.mysql.com Subject: Maxdb 7.5 backup Hi, Is there a good and complete howto available about creating and restoring a backup of a maxdb? I used the documentation (Backup and recovery of maxdb using the CLI) but as soon as you end up with an error the documentation is no longer any help. I already had different errors always telling me something different varying from -126,Databackup missing (Backuphistory lost) -71,connection broken server state 6 I just want to create 1 full backup on the beginning of the week , an incremental every hour + logbackup The incremental + full works but the log is giving me a headache. Is there a way to find out which is the correct LOG that you should start with when recovering? recover_start ARCH LOG <start> recover_replace ARCH /var/maxdb/logs/ xxxx ... Is it the first log that was created after the last complete full backup?
