The steps i do for restoring the backup are db_stop db_admin util_connect db_activate RECOVER FULLBACKUP AUTOIGNORE recover_start incrHourly recover_start ARCH LOG xxxx recover_replace ARCH /var/maxdb/logs xxx ... recover_cancel util_release db_online util_release I've also found stome Stack traces in the knldiag.err file and some .core files under the wrk/ directory.
