Did you update your table statistics recently? I´m seeing this too, I think this is due to the Garbage Collector runs. We have a Solaris X86_64 box with 8 instances, even if only the databases are started (an no SAP application), the system has a permanent load of > 2 (and this is no system time). I would also be interested if this can be tuned/configured somehow. I can also seeing that the system is doing "UpdStat" on some UKTs then and when - is that done implicitly on 7.6? > I guess my queries are becoming CPU intensive, instead of IO > intensive.
