as mentioned in a previous post, I'm trying to use Mayan-EDMS to catalog "open educational resources" (OER); not only those in the managed repository, but also many others, mostly available on the web. Users should be able to create sets of metadata about documents without uploading an associated file. In the Setup-Sources section of Mayan-EDMS, I don't find such a no-file source type. What would be the cleanest way of making the file optional for a "document"? Should I find a work-around, possibly upload a simple text file containing a reference to the document, a "link" when the source is on the web? Thanks in advance for any suggestion!
