I'm real glad you like it, and I'll bet most people on the Thor list would
agree with you.  I don't like the way it stores files, though some people
love it.  It's a matter of taste and needs, and I'm sure some people like
YAM2NN, as well.  Breaks links worse than Microdot, even if you don't edit. 
I use the programs that work for me, like YAM for mail and Microdot for news,
though it's not that bad a mailer either.  Some people swear by NewsRog and
some people swear at it.  Same with Thor, which is not a bad program either. 
To each his own.  But YAM2NN still isn't a real newsreader, and that's not
YAM's function.  It is Microdot's, and Thor's and NewsRog's.  Take your pick.
 What I really like about Microdot is it isn't named after a Norse God. :-)
