I think you might have Aiwa confused with Akai, which is a company that seems 
to have disappeared entirely.  But speaking of Aiwa, does anyone know exactly 
what their connection is with Sony?  Several years ago, a friend of mine had 
an Aiwa walkman which was identical to another Sony unit, except for the 
silver color (the Sony was black) and the brand name.
