It sure does - I purchased my mxd-d3 about 3 months ago. It works great,
encodes nicely - they only gripe I have with it is that there is no optical
output (only input). Aside from that I recommend the unit if you're out
to grab a deck that does 4x (actually it's the only one I've heard of
that'll do 4x).
